Health & Social Care Curriculum Lead
About the Role
A mainstream secondary school in the Aylesbury–Buckinghamshire area is seeking an experienced Health & Social Care specialist to take on the role of Curriculum Lead from April 2026. This is a key leadership position with responsibility for shaping curriculum delivery, driving standards, and supporting strong student outcomes across Health & Social Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Health & Social Care curriculum across KS4 and KS5
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that align with qualification specifications
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
- Support, mentor, and develop teaching staff within the department
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and curriculum planning
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Health & Social Care in UK secondary schools or colleges
- Proven ability to lead or contribute to curriculum development
- Strong subject knowledge across vocational Health & Social Care qualifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
