About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Drama Teacher to provide Maternity Cover in a thriving and dynamic performing arts department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or an aspiring leader to inspire students through innovative teaching and outstanding productions.
Drama is a popular and well-established subject within the school, with high levels of engagement and strong outcomes at both GCSE and A Level. The department prides itself on fostering creativity, confidence, and collaboration, with many students going on to study Drama at university and drama school.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging and high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3–5.
- Lead and coordinate department activities as Subject Lead (if applicable).
- Contribute to extra-curricular drama through performances, trips, and workshops.
- Support the development of exciting schemes of work and practical projects.
- Foster a love of performance and creativity within a supportive, collaborative environment.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Drama or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Drama at secondary level (KS3–KS5).
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A reflective and innovative practitioner who inspires students to achieve their best.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider cultural and creative life of the school.
