We are seeking a motivated and inspiring Head of Computing to lead a successful department within a high-achieving secondary school in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Computing Teacher ready to step into leadership or an established Head of Department seeking a fresh challenge in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

The Role
- Provide effective leadership and management of the Computing department
- Deliver high-quality teaching across KS3–KS5, inspiring a passion for Computing and digital innovation
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that reflect current technological trends
- Support and mentor team members, promoting best practice and professional growth
- Analyse data to drive improvement and raise achievement across the department
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- QTS (or equivalent) and strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and IT
- A proven track record of successful teaching and student outcomes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- The ability to inspire both staff and students and drive continuous improvement
