SEMH Teacher – Romford Full-time | January 2026 Start | MPS + SEN Allowance Dunbar Education is working with a specialist provision in Romford seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role: Full-time, long-term role starting January 2026 Teaching a class of 10 learners (Years 9–11) Learners are formal curriculum students, working between Entry Level 2 and Level 1 Focus on core subjects, personal development and vocational learning Support young people with SEMH and Autism, promoting positive behaviour and engagement No physical behaviour observed, but some students may present with challenging social and emotional needs typical of adolescence Work alongside a strong team of support staff and a committed leadership team The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) Experience teaching in SEN or SEMH settings (KS3–KS4) Calm, resilient and positive approach to classroom management Strong understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practice Ability to differentiate and adapt learning to suit a range of abilities Confident delivering lessons to learners working between Entry Level 2 – Level 1 What’s on Offer: Pay: Main Pay Scale (MPS) + SEN Allowance
