We are working with a 11-18 school in High Weald who are seeking Head of Maths from January to spearhead and enhance the maths department. They embrace a unique approach to education and celebrate a rich history having proudly served the community since the 16th century. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, they were graded outstanding in every category.
This school performs well both academically and pastorally. The maths department consists of 9 teachers and there is a 2nd in department who's responsible for Further Maths. The subject remains one of the most popular at KS5 with approximately 50 students taking it in each cohort.
What is expected of you?
The person appointed will be expected to make a significant contribution to the academic, moral and cultural well-being of students. The successful applicant will deliver maths to KS3 & 4, as there us a sixth form on site KS5 experience is desirable although not necessary.
