Year 6 Teacher (Planning Role) – Luton

📍 Location: Luton
📅 Contract: Fixed-term, Tuesday 22nd April – Tuesday 22nd July
💰 Salary: MPS, up to M6 (Pro Rata) depending on experience
📚 School Type: Primary School

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our supportive team in a primary school in Luton. This fixed-term planning role focuses on lesson preparation, curriculum development, and assessment planning, working closely with the Year 6 team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences in this crucial stage of education.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Plan and prepare engaging and effective lessons tailored to Year 6 pupils
🔹 Work closely with colleagues to maintain consistency and high-quality learning experiences
🔹 Support pupils’ academic progress, especially in preparation for KS2 SATs and secondary transition
🔹 Contribute to curriculum planning, ensuring lessons meet the needs of all learners

Requirements

🎓 Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
📖 Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly literacy, numeracy, and SATs preparation
🌟 Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
📝 Passion for curriculum planning and ensuring high standards of education
📢 Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and contribute to school life
🔎 Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and provide two years of references
