SEN Unqualified Teacher

 

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and keen to make a difference in their lives? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our agency as Unqualified Teachers in a vibrant SEN school, working with secondary-aged students.

 

Position: Unqualified Teacher (SEN School)

Location: Various SEN Schools across [London

Contract: Temporary, Full-time/Part-time via Agency

Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Start Date: Immediate or as per availability

 

About the Role:

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will work closely with SEN students aged 11-16, supporting them in their academic, emotional, and social development. While formal teaching qualifications are not required, you will need to be confident in delivering lessons, leading small groups, and managing a classroom environment under the guidance of qualified staff.

 

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting in planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students.
  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported.
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure students receive the best possible care and education.
  • Maintaining accurate records of students’ progress and development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for working with SEN students and a genuine desire to support their development.
  • Experience in a classroom or SEN setting (voluntary or paid), or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience to handle the challenges and rewards of working with SEN students.
  • A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to the varying needs of students.
  • A relevant degree or experience in education/childcare is preferred but not essential.
