About the Role

A thriving mainstream secondary school in West Berkshire is looking for a talented English Teacher to join their team from January (or sooner for the right candidate). You’ll be teaching across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to explore literature, develop analytical thinking, and build confidence in written and spoken communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure strong academic outcomes
  • Support literacy development across the wider school community
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and dynamic classroom culture

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English literature and language
  • Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to promoting high standards of learning and progress
