About the Role
A mainstream secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Geography specialist to take on the role of Head of Geography. Starting in April or September 2026, this leadership position offers the opportunity to shape curriculum delivery, raise standards, and lead a successful and well-established department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Geography curriculum across KS3 and KS4
- Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
- Support, mentor, and develop members of the Geography team
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong experience teaching Geography in UK secondary schools
- Proven ability to lead or contribute to departmental development
- Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum planning skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities
