English Teacher
About the Role
A mainstream secondary school in Slough is seeking an English Teacher to join their team from April on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting strong literacy development and academic progress for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to support positive outcomes
- Create a purposeful, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
- Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Confident classroom management and effective communication skills
- A professional and reflective approach to teaching and learning
