About the Role
A welcoming Church of England primary academy in Bedford is seeking a Year 5/6 Teacher to cover maternity leave from January 2026. You’ll lead an exceptional, small class of just 12 pupils, delivering engaging lessons and supporting each child to thrive. This is an ideal role for a teacher who enjoys building strong relationships and seeing the direct impact of their teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess a creative and well-structured KS2 curriculum
- Support pupil progress and well-being through effective differentiation and classroom management
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to maintain strong home-school partnerships
- Contribute to wider school life, including assemblies, enrichment activities, and team meetings
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and UK classroom experience essential
- Confident teaching upper Key Stage 2, particularly in preparing pupils for SATs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate learners
- Committed to maintaining high expectations and positive outcomes for all pupils
