Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – SEND & Outreach Support

Location: Woodford Green, London Borough of Redbridge

Pay: £106 – £124 per day

Contract: Full-time | ASAP start (after half term)

About the Role

We are seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEND advisory and outreach service supporting children and young people across the Redbridge area.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for someone with strong SEND experience who enjoys working in a variety of school environments, providing both direct and indirect support to pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to pupils with additional needs
  • Support inclusion and learning across mainstream and specialist settings
  • Liaise with class teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support progress and wellbeing
  • Assist with planning, resource preparation, and assessment of pupil development
  • Provide outreach support across schools within the local area

Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience of SEND (including autism, speech and language, and SEMH)
  • Experience working with pupils across Primary and/or Secondary phases
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car – essential (travel between schools is required)
  • Available to start ASAP (after half term)
