About the Role

As Head of Geography, you will play a key role in shaping the vision and delivery of the subject across the school. You will lead and develop a committed team of teachers, ensuring engaging, well-sequenced lessons that ignite students’ interest in the world around them. You’ll oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment, promoting fieldwork opportunities and supporting staff to deliver outstanding outcomes. Collaboration, creativity, and innovation are at the heart of this role, as is a commitment to ensuring every student achieves their full potential.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3–KS5).
  • Proven leadership experience or clear potential to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment in Geography.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A reflective practitioner who seeks continual improvement.
  • Commitment to inclusion, equality, and supporting a diverse student body.
  • Enthusiasm for extracurricular learning, such as trips and fieldwork.
