We are looking for a passionate and committed Teacher of Humanities to join an established Humanities department at a thriving secondary school in Essex.

Why Apply?

  • Competitive salary with additional well-being and lifestyle benefits
  • Strong focus on professional development and career progression
  • Excellent modern facilities and specialist Humanities classrooms
  • Join a welcoming and supportive team with high staff retention

About the School

This is an oversubscribed, high-achieving secondary school with modern facilities and a strong community ethos. Student numbers have grown significantly over recent years, and the school has invested in additional buildings to meet demand. Staff are well supported through a comprehensive CPD programme and enjoy working as part of a collaborative and ambitious team.

Students follow a well-established KS3 curriculum, with GCSE pathways available in History, Geography and Religious Studies. Enrichment is an important part of the offer, with trips and visits that bring learning to life — from local fieldwork to international experiences in Berlin, Krakow, and Prague, alongside residential opportunities within the UK.

The Role

  • Support enrichment opportunities, including local and international trips
  • Play an active role in raising attainment and supporting whole-school initiatives

The Successful Candidate Will Have
